Pelham city leaders are ramping up efforts to transform the former Oak Mountain Amphitheatre site into a mixed use development and entertainment district.
City officials Tuesday issued a request for qualifications to invite companies to submit proposals to redevelop the 43-acre site just off I-65. Officials called the project a transformational opportunity for the city.
Mayor Gary Waters emphasized the significance of the project, known as ReAmp for Reimagine Oak Mountain Amphitheater.
“ReAmp is more than redevelopment, it’s reimagining what Pelham’s future can look like,” Watters said. “This property gives us a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create a destination that reflects our community’s values and aspirations.”
