INDIANAPOLIS — A 53-year-old man was arrested Thursday for his alleged involvement in a north Indianapolis murder.

The man was taken into custody for his alleged involvement in the murder of 58-year-old Curtis Harris . Harris was killed in a shooting on Dowitch Lane, near West 79th Street and Township Line Road, on Sept. 10, 2025.

He was arrested as part of the Operation Guardian sweep led by IMPD and assisted by other agencies on Thursday, Sept. 25.

The suspect was located by IMPD violent crimes detectives, with help from the U.S. Marshals Service, in the 200 block of North Delaware Street on Thursday. He was arrested on preliminary charges of murder and unlawful possession of a fire
