SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Cherry Rock Park, near 18th Street and Southeastern Avenue in Sioux Falls, is usually a tranquil place for enjoyment, play, and exercise.

On Wednesday, Sioux Falls police announced four people were facing murder charges and other offenses for a man who was found assaulted there, who later died.

The four are charged with First and Second Degree Murder, First Degree Manslaughter, Aggravated Assault and Second Degree Robbery.

“All have history with us. We’ve encountered them before,” Sgt. Cole German with the Sioux Falls Police Department said.

25-year-old Donovan Birdnecklace Pigney, 24-year-old Tiana Herrera, 30-year-old Chaska Littlebear, and 33-year-old Al Pigney were all taken into custody on September 11 and 12.
