PHOENIX — Two men are expected to be OK after they were shot in west Phoenix, according to officials with the city's police department.

Officers responded to the double shooting just after 3 p.m. near Thomas Road and 59th Avenue, where two men were found with at least one gunshot wound each. Both were taken to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Detectives are taking over the investigation, officials said.
