HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) -- An investigation is underway after a fatal crash in Daviess County.

A release from the Daviess County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) says around 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to a a single vehicle accident with injuries in the 9100 block Jack Hinton Road, near the Highway 764 intersection. Upon arrival, deputies found a heavily damaged Honda Civic approximately 20 feet off the roadway.

The release goes on to say that after an initial investigation, officials believe the driver lost control of the vehicle, crossed into the westbound lane of Jack Hinton Road then drove off the roadway. Officials say the vehicle flipped and rolled several times, ejecting the driver before coming to rest.
