PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- A Peoria man will spend over 16 years in jail after being sentenced for trafficking meth.
On Wednesday, Sept. 24, Matthew T. Miller, 40, was sentenced to 200 months in prison, which will be followed by five years of supervised release, according to a release from the United States Attorney’s Office.
The sentencing was for possession with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine.
At the sentencing hearing before U.S. District Judge Michael M. Mihm, the court looked at evidence that between June and September 2024, Miller sold a total of 86.14 grams of meth on three occasions.
During a traffic stop in September 2024, Miller, who was a passenger, refused to get out of the car when officers ordered him to do so.
