PLYMOUTH, Mass. —

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer is facing charges for allegedly impersonating Plymouth's town manager in a traffic complaint.

Christopher Marden, 36, of Holliston, was charged with one count of identity fraud and summoned to appear in court on Sept. 15.

According to a Plymouth police report, Marden filed a traffic complaint on Dec. 9, 2024, pretending to be town manager Derek Brindisi.

The submission form included the town manager's official town email and address for town hall.

The email complaint was addressed to a Plymouth police administrative assistant, saying that police officers were praising people who wrapped their cars with Christmas tree lights in a Facebook group called "All Things Plymouth."
