A Santa Barbara County Superior Court judge on Tuesday denied an emergency motion brought by an Orcutt man to halt his suspension and other disciplinary action imposed by the Central Coast Youth Football for allegedly holding unsanctioned team practices, saying the request didn’t constitute immediate harm.
Santa Maria Superior Court Judge Patricia Kelly issued her order denying the emergency ex parte motion for a preliminary injunction brought by Orcutt Youth Football coach John De Marco, who sued the CCYFL earlier this month after he was suspended for five years and received a $250 fine after being accused of holding an August team practice at local high school on the weekend.
A hearing for the motion was originally scheduled for Wednesday in Santa Maria court, but was canceled.
