Calaveras County deputies are asking for the public’s help in solving the decades-old homicide of Hector Girol. The 47-year-old was found shot to death in the shower of his home in September 2000. Despite years of investigation, the case remains unsolved. The Cold Case Task Force is revisiting the murder in hopes that new information will bring justice for Girol and his family. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office.
