LOUISVILLE, Ky. — ABC took Jimmy Kimmel off the air last week and suspended him after comments that angered supporters of Charlie Kirk and drew the ire of the Federal Communications Commission.

Kimmel returned Tuesday night after almost a week-long suspension with no apologies and an emotional monologue .

He thanked the people who “made your voices heard so that mine could be heard,” then took a more serious tone as he addressed the remarks that led to his suspension.
