ATMORE, Ala. (WKRG) — Geoffrey Todd West, an Alabama death row inmate, has been executed.
According to a release from the Alabama Department of Corrections, West was pronounced dead by a physician on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 6:22 p.m. by nitrogen hypoxia at the William C. Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore.
Prior to his execution, West received eight visitors and two phone calls. On the day of the execution, he received eight visitors. Other than his final meal of chicken quesadillas and snacks throughout the day, he refused all other food.
