FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WKRG) — It's a dream come true for one first grader at Fairhope West Elementary School — the chance to meet her role models, the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, thanks to a local charity, Magic Moments.
"That is her favorite. She has watched that Netflix series and she loves it," Melissa Pruitt, a teacher at Fairhope West, said. "So that was her wish and her wish came true."
6-year-old Amari Howard was diagnosed with a rare kidney cancer back in January, but her teachers said it certainly doesn't hold her back.
"She is a ball of energy, she's a diva," Pruitt said. "If I had to think of one word to describe her, she's a diva!"
"She loves cheerleading," Fairhope West Principal Jenny Davis said. "And who better than the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders?"
