Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy are waltzing through life.

The couple, who both work as ballroom dance pros on Dancing With the Stars , shared that their 10-year relationship has remained strong due to a few special qualities they share.

"We work in a crazy industry, so I think being there for one another and being each other's hype crew, each other's shoulder to cry on, safe place," Jenna told Meet Cutes NYC in a man-on-the-street style interview alongside Val, continuing, "[Be] open to the raw and terrible parts of life that you're going to experience together as a couple."

Jenna, 31, added, "Those are all things that he is for me."

Val, 39, commented on her lengthy list, quipping, "That's a lot of secrets."
