ORONO -- Thursday, the Maine Hire-A-Vet program brought its unique job fair to Orono in the hopes of helping those who've served our country find meaningful employment.
There were 50 businesses at the fair, which was hosted by U-Maine in Orono, ranging from law enforcement, industrial work, to healthcare and customer service.
Veteran Services was there, too, in case vets needed help with services or compensation.
Leo Deon is with the Department of Labor and serves as the co-coordinator for the Maine Hire-A-Vet program. He says veterans make valuable additions to any workforce.
