The wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner was granted a two-year mental health diversion program on Thursday after being arrested for allegedly firing a gun at Los Angeles police officers — a deal that could see her felony charges dismissed.
Jillian Shriner, 52, was ruled to be “eligible and suitable” for mental health diversion, which allows defendants with a qualifying mental health or substance abuse disorder to undergo community-based treatment instead of serving time in prison.
“If she successfully completes the conditions of the diversion, the case will be dismissed by the court,” the LA County District Attorney’s office told NBC 4 . 4
