BANGOR -- The Bangor Historical Society has been hard at work for years on restoring their building façade. Now they've experienced a setback after an incident of vandalism.

"First of all, I was totally shocked that someone would do this," said Risteen Bahr, president of the historical society. "Someone cut a piece out of our brand spanking new fence."

The historical society is located inside Bangor's historic hill house. An $80,000 fence restoration was just completed at that property.

Around 12:37 am on Monday, an unknown individual was captured on security camera footage sawing at the brand new fence, taking a small piece of fencepost with them.

The person's face is not visible but they appear to be tall and heavy set, dressed in baggy shorts and a sweatshirt or jacket.
