That’s how the Maple Leafs trio of Scott Laughton between Steven Lorentz and Easton Cowan performed in Montreal on Thursday night. Article content Article content

Laughton and Lorentz each scored two goals and the line combined for eight points as the Leafs beat the Canadiens 7-2 in a preseason match at the Bell Centre.

Bobby McMann scored for the second time in two games and Matias Maccelli had two assists for the second game in a row. Defenceman Matt Benning and Ryan Tverberg also scored for the Leafs.
