There will be one less fight on the card at UFC Perth on Saturday.
Oban Elliott was removed from his welterweight bout against Jonathan Micallef due to illness, the UFC announced Thursday. As a result, the fight has been cancelled.
The fight was scheduled to be on the preliminary card.
Elliott, 27, is 12-3 in his pro MMA career. His last fight was a unanimous decision loss to Seok Hyeon Ko on a UFC Fight Night card in June.
Micallef, 26, will have to wait to build on his three-fight win streak. The Australian has an 8-1 record in his pro MMA career.
The fight is the second fight to be removed from the event as a 205-pound matchup between Junior Tafa and Ibo Aslan was removed from the card after Tafa sustained an injury.
