Waste entrepreneur Stephen Violi is sick of seeing one of Griffith’s premier tourist attractions, Scenic Hill, double as a makeshift rubbish dump.

“You bring your friends or your kids up here and it’s just so dirty, it’s embarrassing,” he said.

“There’s fast food wrappers and junk everywhere, especially where people park.”

Mr Violi is inviting Griffith residents to join him in making the hill spotless on Sunday 28 September from 9 am to 1 pm. He’s providing a huge incentive for people to attend.

“I’m going to hide tokens within the rubbish south of Scenic Hill. There’s going to be one worth $1000 and 10 worth $100 each. If you find them, I’ll cash them in. There’ll also be Riverina Skips merchandise prizes.
