BELTON, Texas — Candles lit the night as dozens gathered to honor loved ones lost to suicide. The vigil, held by Central Counties Services, was both a time of remembrance and a call to action.
Felicia Burden, community services manager, says the event is about showing support—and making sure people know they're not alone.
"I think the most important thing is recognizing that suicide's touched so many people," Burden said. My family has been impacted by. Probably, most people here have been touched by it. We're just letting the community know who we are and that we're here to provide support. Letting people know that they're not alone and they can talk about it and there are resources available."
