MILLPORT, NY (WENY) -- The village of Millport is preparing for a major water infrastructure improvement project, but have identified some major issues that could affect village residents.

The village board held an emergency meeting on Thursday evening to discuss the problem, and what steps are being taken to address it.

The issue -- the mayor says two mobile home parks in the village, one on Main Street and the other on Johnson Hollow Road, both have leaks in their utility lines that hook up to the municipal water system.

According to Mayor Michael Damon, three readings of the water usage at the Catherine Valley Mobile Home Community on Johnson Hollow Road were taken approximately 24 hours apart over the weekend show it's leaking almost 20,000 gallons of water a day. The park currentl
