In front of Parkland, Dallas County’s public hospital, there was a show of support for the three detainees shot during Wednesday’s ICE office attack.

“There’s a victim right here, right now, that needs our support,” said Tony Gonzalez, regional commander of the Brown Berets.

Gonzalez and leaders of several local Latino community groups gathered for Thursday’s vigil say they feel the shooting victims are being overlooked.

“Stop the whole anyone else is the victim but those people that are fighting for their life,” said Flaka Martinez with Vecinos Unidos DFW.

Martinez says she wants ICE to immediately release information about the victims to their family and loved ones and give them access to state victim support programs and protections.

Information about the victims has been limited.
