ORANGE, Texas — A gas station clerk who was held at gunpoint during an armed robbery Wednesday night says she feared for her life when the man jumped over the counter and demanded cash at the Gulf station on Lutcher Drive.

Surveillance video captured the moment the armed suspect entered the convenience store just before 10:30 p.m. and jumped over the counter to confront clerk Shirani Fernando with a handgun.

Police in Orange are investigating the robbery and believe the same suspect may be responsible for a similar crime in Vinton, Louisiana, earlier that day.

"I am very, very [shocked]," Fernando said, describing her reaction to the incident.
