Sauquoit, N.Y. — After a host of disappointing seasons for the Sauquoit Valley football team, the Redhawks looked to be turning a page this season when they started 2-0. After suffering a loss in Week 3, the doubters came out in full force.

“Our community was dissing on us, so I just wanted to prove them all wrong,” sophomore quarterback Colton Larsen said. “Even some of our teachers in school, they were like, ‘Oh, 2-0. (It’s the) beginning of the season. The start is a fluke.’ Nah, that ain’t how we play, boys.”
