LITTLE FALLS — It took a road trip to decide this one.

With the Thursday, Sept. 25, daylight leaving the Little Falls courts, the Flyers and Pequot Lakes Patriots packed their vans and drove to Pierz to finish off a No. 1 singles match locked at one set apiece between Pequot’s Nikki Crocker and the Flyers’ Brooke Litke.

At Pierz, under the lights. Crocker recorded a 6-1 third-set win to lead Class 1A’s seventh-ranked Patriots to a 4-3 victory over Little Falls.

Pequot’s Emme Sullivan and Claire Oseland also posted singles wins and Keira Strong and Bailey Westerman registered a 6-3, 6-4 No. 2 doubles win.

The Flyers got wins from Elie Abbot at No. 4 singles, Aylah Iverson-Danika Holmberg at No. 1 doubles and Alexis Anderson and Isabelle Gerads at No. 3 doubles.
