CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. -- Evacuations are in place for two large fires burning in Chelan County on Thursday evening, according to Chelan County Emergency Management.
As of 7:15 p.m. on September 25, Level 3 (GO NOW), Level 2 (GET SET) and Level 1 (GET READY) evacuations are in place for the roughly 31,000-acre "Lower Surgarloaf" wildfire and the roughly 17,100-acre "Labor Mountain" wildfire burning near Wenatchee.
Evacuations are being issued and changing rapidly. .
CCEM said several Forest Service roads are also affected and closed due to the fires.
