LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) - One of Southern Kentucky’s largest festivals is underway.

As many as 100,000 people could come to London this weekend for the World Chicken Festival. There are four days of various events, including live entertainment, food, craft booths, and community togetherness.

This event last year was not cancelled due to the weather, but there were concerns because the remnants of Hurricane Helene were approaching. Tents were knocked over, and some vendors had to leave. And festival organizers say they are hoping for a much better weather event this coming weekend.

Right now, they believe from what they can see in the forecast, it looks like it’s going to be a lot better than what it was last year.
