Navratri Day 5: The auspicious nine-day festival of Navratri began on September 22 this year and will conclude on October 2, marking the end of the festival on Vijayadashami or Dussehra. The fifth day is dedicated to Maa Skandamata.

While the Sharadiya Navratri festival, dedicated to Goddess Durga, usually lasts for 9 days, this year, because the Tritiya tithi occurs over two days, Navratri will be celebrated for 10 days instead of 9. In 2025, Navratri began on 22 September, the first day (Pratipada) of the Shukla Paksha of the Ashwin month. The first day of Navratri was on 22 September, followed by the second day on 23 September.
