A day after taking parting shots at the city of Nashville, the Nashville Kats indoor football team on Thursday night announced it will be moving to Clarksville beginning with the 2026 season.
The Kats, a member of the Arena Football One league, played most of their home games over the past two seasons at Municipal Auditorium. But the team did play three contests in downtown Clarksville’s F&M Bank Arena — one regular season game in 2024, as well as a regular season game and a playoff contest in 2025.
The Kats won the postseason game in Clarksville, defeating the Southwest Kansas Storm 48-43 in an AF1 semifinal before falling 60-57 at Albany in the title contest.
