Jalandhar rural police arrests farmer for burning paddy stubble

Chandigarh, September 26, 2025: Jalandhar rural police has arrested a farmer from village Kang Khurd for burning stubble. This is first such arrest after the Supreme Court ordered arrest of farmers for burning paddy stubble.

It is learnt that he has been arrested after official from Shahkot complained to police. Farmer has been identified as Raj kumar.
