SPOKANE, Wash. – Several organizations in the Spokane-Coeur d'Alene area are receiving significant grant money from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to combat veteran homelessness.
The nonprofit Transitions Spokane , a key player in housing and homeless services in the county, is set to receive $7 million to bolster their projects.
Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest will receive $6.2 million. This funding will be distributed across their locations in eastern Washington and north Idaho.
These grants are part of a larger $818 million initiative by the VA, which will be allocated nationwide over the 2025-26 fiscal year.
