A Natrona Heights man allegedly assaulted a 74-year-old man walking past his room in a Cranberry Township hotel, police said.

Jakob Michael Honaker O’Brien, 27, was charged Thursday, Sept. 25, with felony aggravated assault and one misdemeanor count each of strangulation, reckless endangerment and terroristic threats following the Wednesday incident.

Police said the 74-year-old man was walking back to his hotel room at Quality Inn in Cranberry Township and when the man walked by O’Brien’s room, O’Brien reportedly exited the room extremely agitated and approached the man.

Police said O’Brien punched the man six to eight times in his face and forehead. The man then turned away from O’Brien. O’Brien then reportedly bit the man on his back and neck, breaking the skin and leaving teeth marks
