Seymour Fire Department offering $5K reward for information on arson

SEYMOUR, Ind. —

The Seymour Fire Department is offering a reward for anyone with information on a suspicious house fire.

The Seymour Fire Department put a request out on social media , asking anyone with information regarding a fire that occurred on Sept. 18 to get in contact with the fire department.

The department received reports of a house fire around 4:10 a.m. on Sept. 18 in the 700 block of West Oak Street. It was also reported that there were people inside the house during the fire.

When they got there, they found a fully involved house fire. After searching the house, officials determined the house was vacant.

Once the fire was out, they began investigating the fire with the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office.
