A man in Madison County was arrested on multiple counts of child porn charges on Wednesday.

John Spencer Murphy, 65, is charged with four counts of possession of child pornography.

According to the Madison County Sheriff's Office, the case started after they received several 'CyberTips' from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Multiple agencies participated in the investigation including the Madison County Sheriff's Office's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the FBI, and the U.S. Army Criminal Investigations Division.

The sheriff's office says the investigation remains active and additional charges and developments are possible.
