GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Following a strong performance in the Fighting Illini Collegiate, Florida Men’s Golfer Matthew Kress has jumped from No. 25 to No. 16 in the PGA TOUR University rankings.

Kress, a senior, placed fourth at the Fighting Illini Collegiate, shooting four-under par.

The Saratoga, California-native won the Georgetown Intercollegiate in 2023, which remains his only tournament win in college.

He was a PING All-American honorable mention last season.

The top golfer on the PGA TOUR University Ranking after the spring earns an automatic PGA TOUR membership.
