ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- It's a special night every year when the Coaches vs. Cancer Basket "Ball" comes to the Albany Capital Center. Thursday marked the 20th anniversary of the event benefitting the American Cancer Society, making for an even more memorable evening.

The event was co-hosted by Siena men's basketball coach Gerry McNamara and his wife, Katie, and UAlbany head coach Dwayne Killings and his wife, Ana. It featured a cocktail hour, dinner, a silent auction and an award ceremony.

Yale men's basketball coach James Jones received the Inspiration Award. The all-time winningest coach at Yale is a longtime supporter of the American Cancer Society, and currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Coaches vs. Cancer Council.
