MURRAY – Suicide Awareness Month and the ongoing transition to the new Oracle electronic health record (EHR) system were among the topics discussed at this week’s monthly meeting of the Murray-Calloway County Hospital Board of Trustees.

During her monthly leadership report, MCCH CEO Reba Celsor said the hospital held a very well-attended community event called “Hope and Healing” on Tuesday inside the Murray Room at the CFSB Center. Clinical psychologist Dr. Abby Dowdy led a community conversation at the event with attendees on the topic of suicide prevention, and Celsor said this was the first time MCCH hosted this type of open, public discussion.
