HOUSTON — Houston police said a chase suspect cut his own wrists after leading authorities on a chase in northwest Harris County on Thursday.
They said it started around 3:45 p.m. when a box truck was pulled over on the Sam Houston Tollway. Authorities said the truck was flagged because it was known to blow through toll booths without paying the fee.
When deputies pulled the truck over, according to investigators, they found the driver was wanted on multiple felony warrants.
When they went to arrest him, he took off and led them on a chase that came to an end at an apartment complex on Trail Hollow Drive between Brittmoore Drive and the Sam Houston Tollway.
They said the driver couldn't get out of the complex, so he crashed into a carport and rammed the deputy's vehicle.
