The History of Marshall County series, hosted by Marshall County Schools, has proven to be a popular program to date for the community.

Superintendent Shelby Haines talked about the series during a recent board of education meeting. She noted there are a few dates left for those who have not yet attended one of the free public lectures.

All lectures are held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at John Marshall High School’s Commons:

– On Oct. 2, Dan Gatts will talk about the Early Settlers Of Marshall County;

– On Oct. 16, Bill Wnek will speak about “Gravel Bottom — The Beginnings Of Glen Dale;” and

– On Oct. 30, Gary Rider will talk about “Miracle Valley — Business That Put Marshall County On The Map.”

The series is sponsored by Marshall County Schools and the Marshall County Historical Society.
