New Delhi, Sept 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the World Food India 2025, highlighting India’s unique strengths of diversity, demand, and scale, which position it as an attractive investment destination in the global food sector.
He noted that over the past decade, 25 crore people have risen out of poverty, creating a vibrant neo middle class that drives food trends.
India is now the world’s third-largest start-up ecosystem in food and agriculture, harnessing advanced technologies to improve the sector. Modi emphasized the country’s significant contributions to global food security and its substantial agricultural production, including being the top producer of milk and a major player in rice and wheat.
The government is actively promoting the food processing sector and sup
