The clang of steel and the roar of warriors echoed from the Viking Village at Norsk Hostfest, where live Viking battle reenactments drew large crowds throughout the festival.
The battles are staged twice daily at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the Viking Village, a living history area featuring demonstrations of Norse culture. Fighters in period-inspired armor, locked into shield walls, exchanged blows and staged tactical retreats in choreographed duels that balanced safety with spectacle.
