LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Police said that a woman has been found safe after an incident at a home in northwest Lincoln Thursday.
According to Lincoln Police, 42-year-old Jesserae Beck was found safe after a separate scene unfolded in west Lincoln Thursday evening. Officers responded to a residence near Northwest Second Street and Sante Fe Trail around 10:30 p.m.
Officers took 36-year-old Christopher Collins into custody at the scene after SWAT moved into the home around 11 p.m.
A reporter on scene saw drones and Lincoln Fire and Rescue north of Oregon Trail and west of North First Street.
According to Chief Michon Morrow, SWAT members entered the home to the smell of heavy natural gas. The home was cleared, and neighbors were also evacuated from their homes.
