Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a missing man who was last seen around Drake's Island , in Plymouth Sound. Missing Guy Nelson, from Leamington Spa, in Warwickshire, was last known to be in the Plymouth area on Monday, September 8.

The 57-year-old is described as being a white male, roughly 5ft 10ins tall and of medium build. Guy has short, curly brown hair and brown eyes.

He usually wears glasses, a black t-shirt and jeans. Guy has no known links to Devon or Cornwall, other than sailing in the area .

It is thought that Guy had been sailing around Devon and Cornwall on his boat, called Swallow. Police believe he was planning on sailing from Plymouth along the coast, but has not been heard from since the beginning of the month.
