Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL), news media company Newslaundry and journalist Ravish Kumar told the Delhi High Court on Friday that they were agreeable to maintaining a status quo till a civil judge decided on AEL’s plea seeking a permanent injunction against alleged defamatory content against the company.

In effect, Newslaundry and Kumar will not have to take down any further material uploaded on their website or other intermediaries than what exists as of 12 pm on September 26. The status quo shall continue till AEL’s application is decided by a civil judge at the Rohini court. It does not, however, prevent Newslaundry or Kumar from uploading fresh material on AEL.
