Jimmy Kimmel is joking about hiding from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

During the Thursday, Sept. 25 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! , the comedian joked about the show heading to Brooklyn next week for a jam-packed week — and how it might help him to stay one step ahead of the FCC following his recent brief suspension .

"We are broadcasting to about 75 percent of the country from Los Angeles, California tonight," he said toward the start of his monologue, referencing the huge ratings the show has been getting since Kimmel's return to the air on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

"On Monday, we will be in Brooklyn for a week of big shows from the Brooklyn Academy of Music," Kimmel continued.

"What we have to do now is stay on the move so the FCC can't get us," he jokingly added
