Labubu dolls were amongst more than 4,600 potentially dangerous fake toys seized in Salford . In the last month, trading standards officers raided wholesalers and retailers recovering counterfeit goods worth £55,000.

The dolls are the latest "must have" collectors craze for children and adults and account for the lion's share of all fake toys seized in the UK.

The council says the products were "unsafe and poor quality". The operation is part of a national drive launched this week by the Intellectual Property Office, ‘Fake Toys, Real Harms’ campaign.
