Cllr Alison Firth has set out her priorities following her victory at this month's by-election in Kenilworth.
The Green Party councillor has been elected as the new member for Kenilworth Park Hill Ward at Warwick District Council.
She took a resounding victory with 1,007 votes, followed by the Conservative's Malcolm Graham in second with 588.
