Hailey Armstrong was asked to give a message to the seven other opposing teams during the Western Collegiate Hockey Association’s Media Day on Zoom.
The Bemidji State junior forward was the Beavers’ player representative on Sept. 10. In her calm, mild-mannered tone, Armstrong gave a pointed response.
“I think they should know that we’re coming.”
It was certainly a bold statement. In Armstrong’s first two seasons with the program, the Beavers have amassed 10 wins in 73 games. They’ve finished at the bottom of the WCHA standings each time and were bounced in the first round of the postseason unceremoniously.
But Armstrong believes there’s a reason to be confident.
