Authorities last week identified a body that washed up in San Francisco earlier this year as that of a missing Rohnert Park man, police said.

It took about four months for investigators to confirm the remains were those of Wen Wu, 38, who was last seen April 14.

Wu’s partner reported him missing two days later, after he failed to return home, according to Rohnert Park police. The next day, officers found his vehicle parked off Conzelman Road in the Marin Headlands.

That discovery launched a 120-person search involving Marin County Search and Rescue, the National Park Service, Southern Marin Rescue Team and the U.S. Coast Guard. Crews scoured the area but found nothing.
