VAN BUREN, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Van Buren Police Department says a man is in custody after breaking into a man's home and stabbing him several times early Friday morning.

VBPD Captain Jonathan Wear told KNWA/FOX24 that officers responded to a stabbing incident at the 200 block of South 25th Street around 2 a.m. on Friday.

Wear said that a man known to the residents forced his way into the home and stabbed another man multiple times.

The suspect was taken into custody, and the victim was recovering at a nearby hospital, according to Wear.
